The physicians at Central Nebraska Orthopedics & Sports Medicine are using some of the world’s most advanced orthopedic surgical procedures to help patients right here at home. The use of specific surgical procedures depends upon the patient’s situation. The fact remains, however, that the availability of these advanced techniques give you and our physicians more options in addressing your orthopedic health.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE HIP SURGERY
Advanced surgical techniques allow us to conduct hip surgery using a much smaller incision than in traditional hip surgery. This helps reduce trauma and speed recovery in patients for whom this new technique is appropriate.
HIGH-FLEX KNEE REPLACEMENT
This new knee prosthesis allows greater flexibility of movement—almost as good as your original knee. The high-flex knee is especially suited for patients who maintain a high level of activity.
IN-HOUSE MRI SERVICES
In most cases, we can obtain necessary MRI images right here in our office, instead of asking you to go to another medical office for a scan.
Central Nebraska Orthopedics & Sports Medicine offers a wide range of high quality orthopedic care including:
From soccer kids to professional athletes—from weekend softball players to senior power walkers—we’ve helped sports enthusiasts at every level get back into the game as quickly and safely as possible.
From rotator cuff repair to advanced spinal surgery, our orthopedic surgeons are experienced in both traditional and advanced techniques—providing you with a number of options for care.
Accidents and injuries on the job keep both the employee and the employer from being productive. If an accident happens, we coordinate treatment and rehabilitation to help workers safely and sensibly return to the job. We also work with employers to develop safety and training programs aimed at preventing workplace injuries and accidents.
STRAINS, SPRAINS AND FRACTURES
Even though sprains and broken bones are common, it takes a special level of care and expertise to ensure that the treatment and repair are done properly to avoid problems in the future.
ARTHRITIS AND BURSITIS
These diseases of the joints can be addressed through surgery and other treatment—helping you enjoy a better quality of life.
You don’t have to live with the pain of a deteriorating knee or hip. We’ve conducted thousands of total joint replacements to help patients improve their mobility and become more pain-free.
CARPAL TUNNEL SURGERY
Repetitive stress to the wrist and hands can cause trauma and debilitating pain. We offer precise and effective surgical techniques to address carpal tunnel injuries.
Addressing orthopedic problems at an early age can help prevent developmental problems later in life. Assessment and corrective surgery are among our areas of expertise in treating children and adolescents.
