Greg Sextro, M.D.

Board Certified

A Grand Island native, Dr. Sextro attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln and received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He finished his residency at the esteemed Mayo Clinic and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. 

As an Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Sextro strives to provide the very best, up to date treatment options available. Dr. Sextro remains conscientious about his patient’s time and their need to be evaluated in a timely manner. He provides both non-operative and operative options when appropriate. Dr. Sextro specializes in both upper and lower extremity injuries including all types of fracture care. Of note is the fact the Dr. Sextro provides minimally invasive joint replacements and arthroscopic procedures including arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs. Endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery can be performed with one small incision just above the wrist. 

Dr. Sextro supports the medical community of Grand Island, as well as St. Paul and Broken Bow with outreach clinics. His dedication to the rural communities is evident by the commitment he has shown providing orthopedic medical care to the St. Paul and Broken Bow areas for many years. Dr. Sextro is accepting new patients at both outreach clinics as well as the Grand Island office. He performs surgeries at CHI Health, St. Francis, Grand Island Surgery Center, St. Paul Hospital, Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center, and Kearney Regional Medical Center. 

Dr. Sextro is an avid sportsman and enjoys being involved in his boys’ activities whether they include recreational or athletics.
