Joel Jasa, PA-C grew up on a farm in Table Rock, NE, and spent his days playing high school sports, farming, hunting, and fishing. He graduated from Table Rock-Steinauer High School, and went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training at Doane College in Crete, while also playing football for the Tigers. He worked as an athletic trainer for Lincoln Orthopaedic Center (LOC) for five years before he decided to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. Joel was honored to serve various high school and professional sports teams as an athletic trainer during his time at LOC, including the Lincoln Saltdogs Baseball Team, the Lincoln Stars Hockey Team, the Lincoln Capitols Indoor Football Team, and Lincoln Lutheran High School among other responsibilities.
He completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2010, and was promptly offered employment at Affiliated Community Medical Center (ACMC) in Willmar, Minnesota. There he served the community as a highly independent practicing Physician Assistant in Orthopedics, specializing in operative and non-operative treatments. His tenure with ACMC afforded him extensive Orthopedic experience, eventually expanding his practice to include Diagnostic and Interventional Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
As a high school football standout (1997 Shrine Bowl and Sertoma 8-man All-Star participant), a collegiate athlete (Doane College Football, Javelin), and Athletic Trainer, Joel has an exemplary aptitude for sports medicine. Working closely with Phil Cahoy, MD a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon, Joel has significant experience treating professional and student-athletes and is available in Grand Island, Hastings, and surrounding communities.
Joel and his wife Becky are raising four beautiful children in Grand Island, NE. He is an avid hunter, fisher, Nebraska booster, and enjoys woodworking and spending time with his family.
