Total Knee Replacement

Arthritis involves the wearing down of the cartilage (smooth bearing surface) of a joint. This may be a result of an old injury, an inflammatory condition, or simple wear and tear. The bearing surface of the knee may be replaced with a metal and plastic knee to restore function, correct deformity, and relieve pain.

Total Hip Replacement

Arthritis involves the wearing down of the cartilage (smooth bearing surface) of a joint. This may be a result of an old injury, an inflammatory condition, or simple wear and tear. The bearing surface of the hip may be replaced with a metal and plastic knee to restore function, correct deformity, and relieve pain.

Outpatient Total Joint

Some of the largest advances in total joint replacement in the last several years have involved decreasing pain and narcotic pain medication after surgery. We have now reached a point where we are able to safely perform the majority of joint replacements as outpatient surgeries. Either with a one-night observation stay in the hospital or with the watchful care of a home nurse from the Grand Island Surgical Center, we have in place a system to ensure your joint replacement will be a success and the process will be as comfortable as possible.
