Scott Lemek MD

Dr. Lemek is a native of Nebraska, growing up in the Omaha metropolitan area. He finished his undergraduate work at Hastings College and played football for the Broncos while attending. Dr. Lemek received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and then enlisted in the United States Naval Academy to pursue his orthopedic training at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He served as a General Medical Officer and Department Head onboard the USS Bainbridge and as a staff orthopedic surgeon for the Naval Ambulatory Care Center in Connecticut. 

Dr. Lemek was eager to return to Nebraska to pursue his medical practice in the civilian world. Dr. Lemek has many years’ experience as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and is proficient in arthroscopic and total joint procedures, trauma care, fracture care, and various other procedures associated with the practice of general orthopedics. 

Dr. Lemek serves the medical community of Grand Island and the surrounding communities and holds an outreach clinic in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Dr. Lemek is fully credentialed at the following facilities: CHI St. Francis, the Grand Island Surgery Center, Mary Lanning Healthcare, the Ambulatory Surgical Center of Hastings, and Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center. He is currently accepting new patients at all locations. 

Dr. Lemek is a volunteer at Third City Community Clinic in Grand Island where he lends his training and expertise to an indigent patient population. Dr. Lemek was named Third City Community Clinic’s 2014 Physician of the Year. Dr. Lemek enjoys golfing and coaching his daughters at golf in college and high school.
