Shelby Bearheels, PA-C
Shelby Bearheels grew up in St. Paul, Nebraska, and is glad to call Central Nebraska home. Growing up you could find Shelby playing softball, volleyball, and basketball, or spending time with her family. She graduated from St. Paul High School and went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Psychobiology with a minor in Health Sciences at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. During her time at UNK, she also worked as a CNA in the intensive care unit at Kearney Regional Medical Center as well as a skilled nursing facility.
She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa in 2022. Knowing that she wanted to return close to home, and had an interest in orthopedics, pursuing a career at Central Nebraska Orthopedics was her ultimate goal. Her interest in orthopedics began while working as an aide in a skilled nursing facility. It was there that she realized that the ability to move and the ability to move as comfortably as possible is directly connected to one’s quality of life.
Shelby and her husband, Malik returned to her hometown of St. Paul where they are raising their son. They enjoy being actively involved in their community, watching various sporting events, and spending time with their family.
Joined Central Nebraska Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2023.
